Learn About Our Star Employee, Devin
What Is Your Role at Center 615 and What Do You Enjoy Doing Most?
My role at Center 615 is to help things run smoothly and enjoyably for our members. Whether that is greeting their guests, assigning conference rooms, or maintaining common areas, I’m happy to do it all.
My favorite thing is when I get to have some fun and help throw our happy hours and breakfast socials for our members! It’s fun coming up with ways for folks to relax or get to meet one another, and seeing them enjoy themselves really means a lot to me.
How Long Have You Been With the Company?
I have been a part of the Center 615 team since March of 2023.
What Has Been Your Favorite Thing About Working With C615?
My favorite thing is the sense of community the entire campus has. There are so many different people and businesses, and I love seeing them interact or even work with each other. It’s so much more than an office space. It’s a place where people all over Nashville can work on their own things together and get to be around other people that help make Nashville great.
What Is Your Favorite Amenity?
As simple as it is, my favorite amenity is the outdoor courtyard. I take my lunches out there any time the weather lets me and relax in the shade of a tree in an open environment. It’s also a nice place to see other people, whether they’re having a team meeting outside or simply getting some fresh air working outside.
With Center 615 Putting on Multiple Events/Socials Each Month, Have You Had a Favorite Event?
My favorite social event I’ve seen so far has been our karaoke happy hour. It was so fun seeing folks hang out and then be surprised who got up to the mic to sing! Having people participate and cheer each other on was very nice, and folks really enjoyed it, asking when the next karaoke happy hour would be! Hopefully soon!
What Are Some of Your Favorite Places to Visit in East Nashville and the Surrounding Area?
I’m a big fan of video games and a fun cocktail, so I really like going to Up/Down barcade located close by on Woodland St. It’s got tons of games and good pizza, too. That is a great spot to go with friends or just have some fun after work.
What Would Your Ideal Workspace Look Like or Include?
The most important thing that a workspace needs is flexibility. It’s hard to be productive when you are just sitting at a desk in a small cubicle feeling isolated or stifled. Having a space that is open and accessible, with plenty of room to find your own comfy space and work alone or with other people, goes a long way to help folks care about their work. I always feel most productive when I know other people are working around me, so I’m grateful Center 615 has so much space for anyone to work around and with other people.
Anything Else You’d Like to Share About Yourself?
I am a member of Creative Mornings Nashville! Creative Mornings is a volunteer-run organization that has chapters in over 200 cities around the world where, at the end of each month, there is a breakfast lecture for the creative community. (Creative Mornings Nashville also meets in C615’s Rec Hall each month).
It’s a great way to meet new people and be inspired creatively! We’ve had speakers from all sorts of backgrounds, from writers and sculpture artists to filmmakers and improv coaches. Every lecture has a different theme, and it’s amazing seeing so many different creatives from Nashville come together and build a better sense of community! Plus, it’s all free, so stop on by!
