South by Southwest Interactive 2016 kicked off last week with a keynote interview by President Obama. The talk focused on bringing tech closely aligned with government in helping to solve some of the world’s biggest problems. President Obama says,”The most important office in a democracy is the office of citizen and right now with all the talent that’s out there… the only way that we’re going to solve that is make sure that we’re getting citizens involved in ways that we haven’t until now.” The talk focuses on increased civic engagement and making the relationship between innovative citizens and government more accessible.
