Ever wondered what it’s like to work at Center 615? Maybe you’re curious to learn about everything a director of operations does in a coworking space like ours? You’ve come to the right place! Today, we’re chatting with Beth Heflin, director of operations here at Center 615 for seven and a half years (as of 2025). Let’s hear from Beth firsthand what she loves about Center 615 and how deeply she is involved in keeping everything here operating smoothly.
What Is Your Role at Center 615, And What Do You Enjoy Doing Most?
At Center 615, I call it more so the hospitality industry because it is so much more than just coworking—it’s a community! We all wear multiple hats to help the space and day-to-day flow as smoothly as possible. I mainly handle the leasing, rent payments, deposits, marketing, website, HR, and all things operations. I really enjoy working with numbers, including the invoicing and leasing process. But on the relational side of things, it’s fun to get to know businesses and meet the different members that make up Center 615. I also really enjoy putting on our pancake breakfast social a few times a year where I bring in a griddle and make pancakes all morning (and mimosas). The aroma fills the whole building!
How Long Have You Been With the Company?
I’ve been with the company for 7.5 years. I started as a community assistant and social media manager, then moved into the director of operations role. I love how my role has continued to change and evolve throughout each year as I take on different aspects of management for multiple properties.
What Has Been Your Favorite Thing About Working With C615?
The community and my team. Christian Paro is also an incredible boss. Our team is called “the Jedis,” and after five years, we are presented with a lightsaber. We love to celebrate and go out to a restaurant of our choice for each team member’s workiversary and birthday.
What Is Your Favorite Amenity?
The courtyard and iced coffee.
With Center 615 Putting on Multiple Events/Socials Each Month, Have You Had a Favorite Event?
We do a member appreciation celebration each year to recognize the businesses that have been with us for five years and beyond. We bring in Actual Food from Inglewood Lounge to cater and always have delicious drinks. This past year, we recognized 29 businesses, nine of which celebrated over 10 years at Center 615. It’s fun to come together as a community and celebrate the different members and businesses.
What Are Some of Your Favorite Places to Visit in East Nashville and the Surrounding Area?
Shelby Park, Sip Cafe, Red Headed Stranger, Mas Tacos, Hot Yoga of East Nashville. I love going out to Center Hill Lake and renting a boat with friends during the summer months or floating down the Harpeth.
What Would Your Ideal Workspace Look Like or Include?
Comfortable, cozy, and clean with lots of plants and natural light.
