Host Your Next Pop-Up Workshop or Art Gallery in Main Street Gallery

If you’re looking for a creative space in Nashville to host a workshop or art show in an affordable, intimate gallery, we have the spot for you. Here’s why the Main Street Gallery at Center 615 is your best option for a pop-up or art show.

Why Host at a Venue like Main Street Gallery?

One of the best places to host an art show or workshop is at Center 615’s very own event space, the Main Street Gallery. Countless creatives have used our gallery for art displays and workshops, and we’re always looking to host local artists and creators here. That’s why we make it as affordable as possible for artists to share their work right here in the Five Points Neighborhood.

Our coworking space features thousands of square feet of private and shared workspace for dozens of clients, including local businesses, creators, and freelancers. You might not think of a coworking space as the most suitable venue for an art show or pop-up workshop, but Center 615 is so much more than just office space. Our campus in Nashville features eight distinct, purpose-driven meeting rooms (some of which, like the Zaphod Room are large enough to host intimate film premiers and other multimedia displays), three rental venues, and a shopping area close by that’s home to over 10 local businesses.

But onto the main subject of our discussion: the Main Street Gallery. Our gallery has hosted events from the obvious, like local artists’ art shows, live music concerts, and film premieres, to weddings, birthday parties, and family reunions. The room is unique for its blank slate vibes, playing a perfectly neutral backdrop for any art display you can dream up. The gallery has the capacity for 175 people standing or 115 seated, and the rental includes equipment, tables, and seating for all your guests.

Nashville art galleries like this are hard to come by because most are not nearly this affordable for the amount of space that you’re getting. For artists, the rate for renting the Main Street Gallery is just $125 per hour, and all the proceeds of the event will go directly to the artist or artists on display. If you’re looking to rent the space for events other than art shows, that cost is higher, at $250 per hour. And if you’re looking for more dynamic space, consider adding on the Outdoor Roof Deck to your rental. This outdoor space offers an additional 1,400 square feet of space for activities such as outdoor yoga workshops or a space to offer art show attendees some fresh air and cocktails. The two spaces are connected, making it an easy addition to your rental if you’re expecting a higher headcount than 175. The Roof Deck can support an additional 125 people standing, ensuring your art show can easily accommodate over 300 people.

Whether you’re an independent artist or an established member of the local art community delving into the world of art gallery hosting, you’re going to love the Main Street Gallery. While the white walls are nice, you’re probably looking to cover them in your art, and we have a built-in tracking system throughout the venue to easily hang canvases and frames. This makes your set-up a breeze, giving you more time to enjoy the show and saving you money.

Looking to show video or share multimedia art? The gallery also features a projector and a large 100” drop-down screen that can be used or easily hidden away depending onyour needs. Our stage isn’t large by any means, but it’s sizable and ready to support a small band or additional displays. Also included is a PA system and microphone for speeches, readings, and any other general announcements you may need to make. Stable wifi is free and available throughout Center 615, and can help make sure you’re connected for anything you may need.

Since an art show or workshop pop-up doesn’t happen without a lot of preparation, there are a few other logistics we help you handle to make things go smoother, too. The Main Street Gallery rental includes access to an on-site manager who can help you utilize the space and answer any questions you may have. Our venue is also accessible from public transportation, and rental includes free parking for you and your guests right on site. No matter what you’re looking for from your art gallery venue rental, we’ve got it covered!

Avoid Fine Print and Other Pitfalls to Gallery Rentals

Center 615 is all about transparency and upfront communication to ensure you’re not surprised by anything when you rent an event space with us. Renting the Main Street Gallery has a few other associated fees beyond the rental price, but we think you’ll find they’re very reasonable and standard for any event space rental. There is a flat $150 cleaning fee for any rental, and a refundable $250 security deposit for incidentals. Beyond the hourly rental cost, that’s it. If you’re looking for catering or bar services, we can recommend local companies that we’ve worked with in the past and hosted, but those costs are additional. Depending on how long you plan to rent our gallery space, that may not be a concern, however. Our website also offers a floor plan with dimensions so you can easily plan the layout of your gallery even if you can’t drop in for a visit ahead of time. But since you’re welcome to take a free tour of our campus for coworking, private office rental, venue rental, and meeting spaces, you don’t need to worry about not being able to see the space beforehand.
