Whether or not you’ve visited Five Points here in East Nashville before, you won’t want to miss this neighborhood’s unique and exciting opportunities. Let’s review a few things you can do in this bustling neighborhood before summer ends.
1. Eat and Drink
Every good Nashville neighborhood has its own go-to eateries and bars, and Five Points is sure to sate any adventurous foodie, craft beer fanatic, or budding sommelier. Five Points is known for its modern, hip aesthetic, and that applies to how most restaurants and bars serve their food. Don’t expect too many white tablecloths or uber-expensive dinners (though we do have some). Instead, the Five Points neighborhood in Nashville is all about high-quality, local ingredients and, in many cases, convenience.
Food in the Five Points
There’s no shortage of excellent eateries here in Five Points East Nashville. From early-morning eats to late-night grub, you’re always going to find something great. So let’s go through a whole day at different spots for food in Five Points. For breakfast, you can’t go wrong hitting up Sky Blue Cafe for coffee and one of their many excellent omelets. Also on the menu from Sky Blue are what you’d expect from an excellent coffee shop and diner, like pancakes, the quintessential southern biscuits and gravy, or even the Go Burrito, designed to be eaten while walking the many shops and spots you’ll hit up later in the day.
For lunch in Five Points, you should definitely try one of our area’s best food trucks: Brave Idiot. Nestled right near not one but two of Five Points’ best bars, Brave Idiot is a food truck that specializes in Nashville hot chicken, burgers, and sandwiches. If you’re looking for an equally spicy lunch, but you’re on the hunt for tacos instead, you can’t go wrong with Pie Town Tacos. Pie Town Taco’s East Nashville location is right here at Center 615’s Five Points Alley Shops, and they boast a large menu with a lot of lunch options. Looking for a great vegetarian option? You need to try one of their bowls featuring their signature tofu chorizo. Once you’ve fueled up at lunch, you’re onto a dozen other adventures. But when you start feeling hungry come dinner time, you may want to hit up one of East Nashville’s more refined restaurants: Lockeland Table. Here, you cannot go wrong ordering the dry-aged NY strip steak or bone-in pork chop. And if you’re somehow still hungry, no late-night trip to East Nashville’s own Five Points is complete without a slice from Five Points Pizza. With daily specials, you’re never going to need to worry about finding a pie with unique flavors.
